Transfer time is here again!

Buenas!!

Can you believe that it’s already transfer time again?? The time is flying by like crazy. Hermana Hubert and I are still together, and we’re just as happy as we could be! It’s going to be a fun transfer. We only received 13 missionaries and sent 25 missionaries home as a mission, and so many sisters are dying! (We need more, for all of you out there thinking about serving missions! 😉 ) This transfer I’m going to be working with several more companionships (four total now) as a sister training leader, and I’m really excited to have the chance to get to know and work with these wonderful hermanas. 🙂 They are part of the Rincon zone here in east Tucson, and are all english sisters, so we’re going to have a lot of adventures here in Spanish speaking El Dorado!
This week was pretty rough at first! Haha, at the beginning it felt like everything that possibly could go wrong did go wrong. All of our appointments were falling through, our solid invtestigator, Alma, who was going to be baptized on Valentine’s day, dropped us, among other things. It was tough! Even though it was hard, we recognized that it was probably a trial of our faith that things were going so poorly and just kept working as hard as we could. It was a midnight, in a sense, because the dawn came once more. 🙂 The blessings ALWAYS come after the trial of our faith!
On Sunday, we were sitting peacefully in Gospel Doctrine when Hermano Larese called us out into the hallway, where a man I didn’t know was standing. He was dressed in jeans and a clean Tshirt. He looked like he was on the verge of tears! His name is Jose Juarez, and he just moved here from Phoenix. He’s in a pretty difficult situation with his wife and children; and he came to the church looking for spiritual and temporal help. It turns out that a set of sisters had been teaching him in Phoenix and was just about to be baptized when the problem came up. What a miracle!
There are more miracles that happened within the last few days, but I don’t have time to share them right now. But I love you all! I hope that you all have an amazing week!
Con amor,
Hermana Sutherland 🙂
